Pastor of Adult Ministries
Niles
| Full-time

Job Description:

The Pastor of Adult Ministries for the Niles Campus is a vital part of the Niles Campus Ministry team and reports directly to the Niles Campus Pastor.  The Pastor of Adult Ministries is primarily responsible for the development of Small Groups and connection of Adults on the Niles Campus.  The Pastor of Adult Ministries will also oversee the Children’s Ministry staff for the Niles Campus.  Candidate will need to be able to multiply His ministry into the lives of others.   

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of our Adult Small Groups (currently 48 Small Groups), that meet at church and in homes
    • Identifying and developing new leaders
    • Equipping current leaders for more effective ministry
    • Ensuring quality care and direction for group members as needed; at times in conjunction with our Biblical Soul Care ministry
    • Connecting new people to small groups
  • Develop opportunities for women to engage in small groups “on campus” by providing direction and logistics (i.e. rooms and childcare) for women on mornings and evenings during the school year
  • Participate as a member of the Niles Campus Staff Team, and the All Campus Adult Ministry Team, to contribute to and benefit from the collaboration and coordination among those teams
  • Ensure Flock and Small Group Leaders engage in the broader ministry of the church in various ways (up front for prayer after services, special baptism interviewing opportunities, serving communion, prayer initiatives, etc)
  • Oversee Campus when Campus Pastor is not present at the campus. 
  • Be available to do up front announcements and prayer during our weekend services.
  • Oversee all Children’s ministry staff to ensure centralized children’s ministry goals are implemented appropriately on the Niles Campus.
  • Assist Campus Pastor in Assimilation of new people into Harvest, including Party with the Pastors, Membership Classes, and follow up.

Distribution & Inventory-Walk in the Word
Elgin | Part-time

Job Description:

Oversee the fulfillment and distribution of all product and receipts by completing tasks related to shipping and fulfillment duties.  Coordinate all daily volunteer staff activities providing training where needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Set Up work areas to support daily fulfillment needs.
  • Coordinate Volunteer work schedules.
  • Provide training for all volunteers as needed.
  •  Perform quality control and shipment of products.
  • Perform all receiving functions.   
  • Replenish daily inventory levels in the picking area. 
  • Complete quality checks and cycle count of inventory as assigned.
  • Readiness to assist in fulfillment as needed.
  • Projects as assigned

Administrative Assistant to the Senior Director of Media

Job Description
To assist the Director of Media in providing excellent organization and support in Team Video by actively participating in and executing various administrative tasks at the Elgin Campus.

Roles & Responsibilities
•    Coordinate calendar and schedule of the Director of Media and Team Video. Act as the intermediary between Team
      Video and other Departments regarding Project Management.
•    Code monthly credit card transactions of Team Video and coordinate approvals with the Director of Media.
•    Manage check requests and other financial needs for various video projects.
•    Assist in scheduling and coordination of video shoots.  Act as the intermediary between Team Video and interview
     subjects.
•    Coordinate Team Video Time Off Requests.
•    Coordinate craft services (food and beverages) for video and film shoots.
•    Coordinate travel arrangements for the Director of Media and/or various parties arriving to assist in video projects.
•    Support the Director of Media by accomplishing various tasks as directed.
•    Assist with various tasks on a video shoot, as assigned by the Director of Media.

Administrative Assistant to the Pastor of Business Operations

Job Description:

Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment to administrate, organize, and coordinate the business and operations activities of all seven Harvest Campuses. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administrate property and casualty insurance for all Harvest campuses and extension ministries
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to organize and report on projects and budgets
  • Pay monthly installments of contracts for all campuses
  • Oversee expense coding and insure conformity and uniformity across campuses.
  • General administrative duties for Business Operations, Stewardship Ministry, facilities, and construction projects.

 Job Related Characteristics:

  • TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE:  Two years of administrative experience with expert skill in Microsoft Excel.  Ability to learn and effectively use in-house software applications.
  • PLANNING AND ORGANIZING:  Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and reprioritize projects when necessary.  Must be very organized and pay close attention to details.
  • INITIATIVE:  Task oriented with a strong need for closure with ability to work independently

IT Internship
Multi-Campus | Part Time

Job Summary
Intern will serve alongside others using technology as a tool to do God’s work.  Intern must be working toward Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or toward a related technical certification.

Job Responsibilities
1.    Participate in the development of new desktops and servers
2.    Assist in deploying applications to end-users
3.    Troubleshoot issues with equipment such as printers, computers, and thin clients
4.    Research unusual bugs or issues on end-users workstations
5.    Research hard/software options and report to Network Administrator
6.    Gain hands-on experience with virtualized desktop technology
7.    Gain hands-on experience with managing mobile devices in an enterprise-like environment
8.    Troubleshoot, repair, and install computer systems (PC/Mac)
9.    Deploy smartphones and tablets to HBC end-users
10.    Respond to daily user requests and resolve issues in a humble, professional, and pro-active manner
11.    Log time and problem resolutions via helpdesk system
12.    Participate in planning and implementation of multi-scale projects

Job Qualifications

3.    Internship duration is 3 to 6 months and may be shorted or extended depending on workload
4.    At the end of internship there is potential for a part-time or full-time employment
