Small Groups

Harvest is a church of Small Groups. Our Small Groups are designed to challenge men and women to grow as faithful and fruitful followers of Jesus Christ. We are striving to increase our capacity to worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ.
A common phrase around Harvest speaks much about our passion for community. That phrase is "doing life together."

In Acts 2, we can see how the early church did life together...

"They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved." 

From beginning to end, Scripture shows that God calls each of us to live in loving relationship not only with Him, but also with each other. And we recognize that this happens through the daily stuff of life as we walk together and follow after Christ. Here at Harvest, we facilitate “doing life together” through Small Groups.

In the midst of community, the early church experienced God growing them toward maturity in their discipleship. And we want to reflect that type of community in our church. For this reason we encourage and challenge each person who considers Harvest their home church to become a part of a Small Group. 

Mixed, men's, and women's small groups meet on various days throughout the week in the McHenry County area. We would love to try to help you find a group that meets at a time and place that fits your schedule.
